Comment: Greetings, well it looks like business as usual with the tyrants and thieves of the TAT. What we do not see is that while we are all fighting over crumbs we amissing the ability to make our mark on the world and to make a statement on the parchment of time. We need to institute a government that will look out for the benefit of all people an not the select few, a leadership that will be non-biased and caring. To do this we must wipe out the entire system that is now in place and start afresh |

Comment: Friends & relatives election time is our only opportunity to select our most appropriate tribal member to represent us on our tbc. We the people have all the power at the election poles when deciding who will represent us. We all appreciate our candidates concern to standout in an attempt to lead our nation of people. We all have concerns in various degrees regarding our Tribal affairs as well as ideas for possible remedy for some of it. |

Comment: Observe each candidates own accomplishments for the people, not for themselves. On their own, who of them has previously done something beneficial for the people? When someone wants something desperately enough they will say & do most anything to win it. |

Comment: A solution to inappropriate TBC decision-making is to encourage all TAT members 18 yrs + to vote on issues that pertain to and affects us all as a nation of Indigenous people. This way it clears the 7 tribal members serving on our TBC from ridicule and the burdens, by placing tribal responsibility with individual members where majority vote prevails. Our TBC should be there leading the way to help accomplish OUR dire needs, hopes and dreams for success as a nation of Indigenous people. |

Comment: Why is it we always have problems with our elections. The election committee should apply for the job and they should have some type of training before they run an election. It never fails we always have problems of cheating with our election process. Just have a third party come in and keep it a fair election. How convenient for NT to get a 800 credit on their water bill 2 weeks before election, nice. |

Comment: To: wat the frack?... ...the problem lies NOT with the various segment Boards nor with the Election Board itself. The problem is with the election Ordinance. It does NOT address or prevent shenanigans by individual candidates, only that which is under the direct authority of the E. Board which is election logistics. I've said it b4 and I'll say it again. for those of you who constantly complain and accuse the election Board of corruption, put your $$$ where your MOUTH is and SERVE on the segment committee or the election Board. You will then see how it is nearly 99.999999% IMPOSSIBLE for the segment committees or the election Board to sway the election one way or the other. It's tiring to see constant complaints by those who don't have the 'intestinal fortitude' to serve, only point fingers... |

Comment: I agree its the ordinance but Over 200 challenges? In the past there was 10 at the most! Why didnt the election committee get training prior to election? So they could manipulate election. Why werent the ballots stored in the BIA safe? Why did the count stop? Who was publicly notified that the count would continue? Why did the count continue in the Chambers not Casino? Why did one of the election board members quit? Intoxicated election committee? NEW ELECTION is the only fair thing to do. This time do it right. Its not up to the enrolled membership to change the ordinance its up to the Leadership. How can you serve when the board is appointed? It is always 99.99% someone who publicly supported the TBC councilman in the last election who is appointed or is related in some shape or form. |

Comment: The tribal chairman can do a good thing and take some pointers from the Prince of Qutar. Before all y'all get your undies all in a twist. Read up on him. Really? Is the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation producing a lot of oil? How fantastic of a job the tribal chairman and council do at pulling the wool over the rest of the United States eyes. For every truck that is going on the reservation everyday, they pay a fee. No need for bad roads or begging the US gov for money. |

Comment: Go listen for yourself: Oct 23, 2012, 10 am TAT Tribal Court hearing: Election Challenge of Sept Primary 2012. Exercise your right to vote, remember the 4 or 3 or whatever constitutional amendments of the Hall administration will be on the Nov ballot. Where are those ND legislator candidates-why aren't they here on Fort Berthold? After all,we natives are a bigger vote bloc in ND--I will vote the legislative candidate who puts state oil revenue back on FB for roads, housing, education, health. VOTE. |
